You will be warmly greeted by our representative/driverguide after a short briefing. You will then be transferred to Original Maasai Lodge. Enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY TRIP KILIMANJARO LEMOSHO ROUTE VIA LONDOROSI-ARUSHA
After early breakfast in the morning, you will leave the hotel for a day trip on the Lemosho route via Londorossi Gate offers a stunning, fast-paced introduction to Mount Kilimanjaro’s rainforest and heather zones of Kilimanjaro from Moshi to Mti Mkubwa Camp and back is a unique and challenging experience.The Lemosho route is one of the most scenic and least crowded routes on Kilimanjaro. The Lemosho Route stands as one of the premier pathways to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, renowned for its scenic landscapes and gradual ascent profile. While typically embarked upon as a multi-day expedition, a shortened 1-day trip offers a determined glimpse into the beauty and challenge of this iconic route. At the gate, you will be met and transferred back to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
WALKING MTO WA MBU VILLAGE AND THE MAASAI VILLAGE
After breakfast, a guide will pick you up and take you to Mto Wa Mbu village. Located in Manyara, this vibrant farming community has approximately 18,000 inhabitants. Spend half a day with an experienced local guide and discover a side of Tanzania often overlooked by visitors. A true melting pot of cultures, Mto Wa Mbu is considered one of the few places in Tanzania where representatives of 120 tribes live together harmoniously. Although its name means “mosquito river,” thanks to the village’s permanent water source, we thankfully didn’t see many mosquitoes. During your visit, you’ll discover the social side of the village: the farms and mills, the schools, the markets, and the churches. Your guide will be happy to answer all your questions and help you better understand the inner workings of this typical Tanzanian community. You’ll likely begin at the village banana plantation, where over 30 different varieties of bananas are grown. In addition to learning how this essential fruit is cultivated, you’ll discover its many uses, from food to building materials. After all the activities at Mount Wa Mbu, dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.
DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER-SERENGETI
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we descend into this magnificent crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife reserves in the world and is home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of the last black rhinos in Tanzania. At 8,300 km², the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest volcanic caldera in the world and arguably the most impressive site. Later in the day, we drive to the Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.
DAY 5: SERENGETI CENTRAL NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart for the Serengeti for a safari through its magnificent landscapes. Located in the heart of Tanzania, the Serengeti encompasses the famous Seronera Valley, renowned for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, its vast savannah plains interspersed with granite outcrops, dotted with acacia forests, and crisscrossed by a network of rivers and streams. DAY 6: SERENGETI NATIONA PARK –NORTHERN
Wake up early in the morning after breakfast then head north to the Serengeti with a picnic lunch box. This is where the migration takes place at this time, enjoying the game drive while looking for animals, then later in the day drive to the camp for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at Intimate Places, Mara River Camps.
DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK-NORTHERN
After breakfast, you will continue to the northern park and spend the day exploring the Serengeti on thrilling game drives across its endless plains. You may spot the Big Five and admire the rich wildlife of this iconic national park. Meals and overnight stay will be at the Camp.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE (KOGATENDE AIRSTRIP) -ARUSHA + TRANSFER TO JRO
After a relaxing breakfast at the Camp in Serengeti, enjoy a warm farewell as your unforgettable safari comes to an end. You will then be transferred to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight to Arusha Airport, taking with you lasting memories of Africa’s wild landscapes and remarkable wildlife to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home.
